The school meets requirements on the publication of specified information on its website. Ayresome Primary School is a much larger than average-sized primary school. Nearly two thirds of the pupils are eligible for support from the pupil premium. Pupils are from a wide range of different backgrounds. A significantly high number of pupils join the school during the school year. This includes refugees, asylum seekers and children from European migrant workers’ families. Pupils speak 40 different home languages as well as English. The school opened provision for two-year-old children in September 2015. The provision is in a separate building on the school’s site called Park House. The school provides a wide range of before- and after-school activities for pupils in all year groups to attend, including a breakfast club.
