School Description

Talbot Heath is a leading independent school in Dorset that offers girls aged 3-18 an outstanding education within a strong and supportive community. The Daily Telegraph described the school as ‘a gem in its own right: a small but palpably warm school where individual girls get the attention they deserve.’ In an increasingly competitive and challenging world, the education that a young person receives at this independent school is crucial in their preparation for later life.

OUR OPEN EVENTS

We warmly welcome parents and pupils to attend one of our popular Open Events a year. We hold four events each year.

Our next Open Event will be on Friday 6th October

We hold two Junior Open Mornings, one is the first week in February and the other the first week in May. These are 'school in action' events where prospective parents can see the classes at work as they tour the campus after a talk by Junior Head, Karen Leahy at 10am. There are opportunities to talk with the head and teachers while enjoying light refreshments.

Our Senior / whole school event runs late afternoon/early evening after school. There are a number of talks by the head Angharad Holloway at timed intervals held in the Great Hall with refreshments. Admissions staff will also be available to talk you through the entry procedures. Guests can enjoy tours of the facilities and campus - by staff in the Junior School and by 6th form pupils in the Senior School. Teaching staff will be on hand to have informal discussions in their classrooms and there will be current pupils for you to chat to.

We hold a separate evening for our 6th form for current TH pupils and families from other schools looking at Talbot Heath as a 6th form option, generally the second week in October.
